Gunsights to lose Bible references →
A US company that has been putting biblical references on its gun-sights has said that they will remove them.
Trijicon, a deeply religious Michigan company that sells military hardware, supplies gun-sights to the US, British, Australian and New Zealand military, has for years put encoded biblical inscriptions on its gun-sights. Now due to criticism from home and abroad their will now supply...
Amazon Opens Kindle To Third Party App Developers →
Amazon will soon release a development kit for the Kindle. Applications written for the Kindle can be sold via Amazon’s online Kindle store. They will be limited to how much bandwidth they can use; applications that require a monthly subscription charge will be allowed to use more bandwidth.
In another move to fight off the yet-to-be-released Apple tablet Amazon is also increasing the...

As Pretty As A Song →
Congrats to you both!
It took me weeks before I figured out the name wasn’t as PrettyAsaASarong (which also makes sense to me), but I finally got the glasses prescription changed and saw clearly.
To one of the first people who followed me on tumbler I wish you both all the best and much happiness, no advice from this end just play it by ear; when in doubt a sarong might just do the tick.

MacHomer →
Went to see MacHomer last night with the family. It’s a one man, Canadian comedian Rick Miller, show: a re-imagining of Macbeth with the Simpsons’ characters doing the various roles; all voice by Miller. Hilarious and an amazing performance by Miller. Even my wife, who is not a Simpsons fan, enjoyed it.

Google threatens to leave China →
Finally Google is threatening to pull out of China. Google is responding to sophisticated computer network attacks originating from China and targeting Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists.

We’ve all heard the slogan “We have the fossils, we win”. When in fact the fossil record is one of the weakest forms of evidence we have for evolution.
Don’t get me wrong it’s great that we have any fossils at all, let alone the wealth of them that we do have. But they are still patchy. There are huge gaps in the fossil record, but what there are corroborates all the...
