The problem with Globalisation is that it works too well!
In this podcast, of Mark Thirlwell’s Lowy Institute talk “Second Thoughts on Globalisation”, the point is made that many previous supporters of Globalisation in developed countries are now concerned about its effects. The reason is that Gloalisation has done very successfully what it was set up to do, lift the economies of developing countries. The specific concern is how well this has occurred in India and China.
