You know what, if you’re an atheist and don’t believe in God that’s your prerogative. No one is out here trying to convert you or make you believe. But don’t be disrespectful of something other people, a majority of the world, believes in. Pick your battles wisely and stop the ignorance.(via Young Australian Skeptics)
Actually there are people out there trying to convert me and make me believe and they are also targeting my kids, forcing their way into classrooms and are also trying to change laws and impose their morality onto me. Also as far as a majority goes, roughly 33% of the people in the world call themselves Christian and the number is dropping.
As for respect, that is earned not implicitly granted. As for ignorance, those who take the Bible as literal in the face of scientific fact and just plain common sense are the ones being ignorant, and all the Christians I know with would agree.
