A new Australian Bible drops the sheep metaphor for one based on cattle; wonder if the Welsh Hindus had any input?
This changing of metaphors has happened before in the history of the Bible; for instance the metaphor of a young women was changed for one of a virgin. Or the jealous god for a loving god etc., etc.
