Design
Some people would have us believe that we were designed by some intelligent designer (ID). They go on and on about some amazing fact about the human body and ask how could that come about by “random” processes; of course anybody that truly understands evolution and natural selection knows that the processes are not random in the way suggested by an IDiot.
But let’s put the shoe on the other foot for a minute. If their designer is so intelligent how come they made so many stuff ups? Here’s just a few…
- the drain for our sinuses is actually towards the top of the head, so it actually can’t function as a drain, thus we have all sorts of sinus problems. However, this location makes sense if we were walking on all fours.
- why do blood vessels in the eye pass in front of the retina, surely an intelligent designer would have placed the blood vessels behind the retina.
- Why did the designer decided to have the optical nerves enter/leave the eye right in the centre of our field of view essentially giving us a blind spot there.
- In human females a fertilized egg can quite happily implant itself in the fallopian tube, cervix or ovary; proving once again that the designer hates women.
- In a human female the birth canal passes through the pelvis. If the babies head is larger than normal the babies head cannot pass through the pelvic opening; again more proof the designer hates women.
- Human male testies pass from the abdomin into the scrotum during gestation. This results in two weak points in the abdominal wall where hernias can later form
- Muscles attached to the ears for no reason.
- Nerves that are present in the feet of some people which serve no purpose.
- Why do flightless birds still have wings, surely claws or paws would make more sense.
- The recurrent laryngeal nerve travels from the brain to the larynx via the aortic arch, in giraffes this results in 20 extra feet of nerves.
Now Darwin’s theory of evolution through natuaral selection adequately explains why the above occur, as it does for all aspects of biology on Earth (and beyond). IDiots are left with having to accept that if there really is a designer He (he’s always a He) is not as intelligent, all knowing, or caring as they would have us believe.
