Dear Anti-nuclear Activist,

how about a little wager. We both lay down $2,000  on the table. I eat 28.5 grams (aprox one ounce) of plutonium oxide, and you eat 28.5 grams of caffine. The next day who ever is able to gets the money?

Hint; caffeine is toxic and in the quantity suggested will kill a person. Plutonium oxide by contrast is not toxic and while radioactive will not be absorbed by body fat or remain in the body long enough to have any lasting effect.

Scare mongering; Dear Australian citizen, did you know that every smoke detector installed in Oz has a piece of the most radioactive elements known to man? It’s true!  For the few Australians that didn’t run off and rip out all the smoke detectors in their home, the radiation given off by your smoke detectors can be blocked by a piece of paper; most detectors use aluminum. But please don’t trow out the old detectors, they should be disposed of properly, contact the council, and what ever you do don’t give them to the scouts.
