15% of Australian schools seek funding for a chaplain.
The Australian Federal Government has received 1,503 applications to their chaplains in schools program. This represents about 15% of all Australian schools.
Given that many schools are short of teachers, support staff or working toilets this can only be viewed as a gross waste of tax payers money.
