End of a very strange summer.
Official end of summer in Sydney today and its being a strange summer weather wise. Lots of rain and wild, wild storms.
The top photo is from Tuesday, about 5:30pm, when parts of Sydney got their entire average monthly rainfall in 15 minutes. I tried to race the storm home and almost made it before it hit. It was like being hit by a fire hose, I’ve never being so wet and I’ve never gone from bone dry to drenched in such a short time.
If I could surf it would have been the better option.
Update: Here is a slideshow of photos from the storm, the guy with the bike wasn’t me but the predicament was very similar.
2nd Update: OK it wasn’t 15 minutes, it was 30 ….
