NSW politicians voted 65 to 26 to lift a ban on somatic cell nuclear transfer in NSW.
The debate was very emotive and wasn’t helped by recent comments by Cardinal Pell that many Catholic politicians viewed as direct threats. Much of the debate was taken up with politicians voicing their displeasure at the tactics used by Cardinal Pell.
