Israel bombed Syrian nuclear reactor.
Rule 1 in nuclear safety: DON’T BOMB A NUCLEAR REACTOR
You’d think this would be a fairly easy rule to understand but apparently not.
It seems that towards the end of last year Israel bombed, beyond repair, a Syrian nuclear reactor. According to US sources the reactor could have become operational at any time. No mention is made as to if nuclear material was on site or if nuclear contamination has occurred.
Suppose they got it wrong and the reactor was in the process of being activated. How would Israel cope with being down wind of a mid-East Chernobyl?
UPDATE: It appears that the story the North Korea was involved in the building of the Syrian Nuclear reactor originated from Dick Cheney and Co., WMDs all over again?
