OK the bear I can understand but who stuffs a crab … unless your going to eat it?
My god, this is way beyond red state vs. blue state. Alaska is a different world. (NYT)I don’t like guns, and I don’t like decorating with bear fur, and I don’t like Sarah Palin. However, actually, eating game is probably - in many respects - more environmentally friendly than eating farmed food, is it not? One of my lovely roommates in college was from a part of Canada near Alaska, and her family almost never bought meat from the grocery store - they dined all winter on the one or two large animals that her dad shot, which was highly efficient and had far less impact on the environment than the average American family’s meat consumption. So actually I can’t rag on Palin’s eating habits. I look forward, however, to making fun of her for many other reasons.
