Scientologists are "flat-earthers".
In a tragic case in NSW where a 25 year old woman is accused of murdering her father and sister it was claimed that her Scientologist parents had at various times actively opposed her attempts to get psychiatric treatment.
The claims and counter claims have led to a public slagging match between the Church of Scientology and the psychiatry profession in NSW. The latest salvo from Professor Tennant, a Sydney University psychiatrist, calling Scientologists “flat-earthers” who just talk “mumbo jumbo”.
