Schoolgirl acid attacks: 10 arrested
10 Taliban thugs have being arrested by Afghan police for their involvement in an acid attack against 15 girls and their teachers. The attack took place while the girls and their teachers were walking to school in southern Afghanistan.
The Taliban “fighters” were apparently paid $US2000 to carry out the attack in which they squirted acid from water bottles onto the students and teachers.
Several girls suffered burns to the face and one girl was unable to open her eyes for several days after the attack.
