Julia Gillard becomes the new Australian Prime Minister after former PM Kevin Rudd stood down; after realising he didn’t have the numbers to win a leadership spill.
Oh yeah, Ms Gillard is also the first female Prime Minister of Australia.
UPDATE: Ms Gillard may also be the first red-headed Prime Minister of Australia.
