There’s something to be said for nunneries. I’m not sure there’s anything to be said for Catholicism. That’s the problem.

In her article Ms Richards contemplates the fact that a number of high profile Australian women (in media, business and politics) attribute part of their success to the encouragement they were given by nuns at the schools they attended. How is it that women whose role in the church is limited by men can so inspire young women to take on the big end of town?
