Women told: 'You have dishonoured your family, please kill yourself'
Half of the murders committed in Turkey each year, about 200, were “honour killings”.
In response the Turkish government is cracking down on “honour killings”, with mandatory life sentences for the killers; so now the women are being told by their families to commit suicide instead.
